An influential member of Metropolitan Lodge laid down his working tools on March 17, 2023, and has retired to the celestial lodge above.
Barry Was a devout Christian and proud mason who served in (and was past master of), more than one blue lodge; while we were his home lodge, he also became a dual member at Northern Star. Here is a picture of him awarding the community builder award to the Mayor of Dallas:
He was a 32 degree mason and was heavily involved with the degree work performed at the Scottish Rite, as well as an actual Scotsman (and member of the Boyd Clan Society) of which he was also very proud!
He certainly was one of a kind, and left his mark on both masonry and the hearts of all who knew him. He is and will be missed!
