History of Metropolitan#1182
Our lodge was constituted in December of 1921 in the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Dallas, Texas.
Our first stated meeting took place there on January 10, 1922 where our first by-laws were approved.

In 1941 the Masonic Temple was built on Harwood Street, in downtown Dallas.
At which point we moved across the street, and had our meetings there for 70 years! Then in 2011, amidst concerns about the building being sold, and where we planned to go- our lodge made the hard decision to leave that beautiful and historically significant edifice.

2011-2020
For almost another decade, we met in a lodge building off Buckner Blvd at the Southwest corner of a large property where the Buckner Childrens Home (orphanage) was located, who the lodge we paid rent to was named after.
(R.C. Buckner)
We had great relations with the other lodges there, and enjoyed joint-lodge holiday dinners and events until the summer of 2020, when again, due to concern about whether the lodge that owned the building were able to continue hosting us- We had to relocate and find a new home. Sure enough, sadly R.C. Bucker lodge is no more (defunct), which brings us to now:

We are happily settled in at the building owned by Roy Stanley Lodge, and enjoying the fraternal relations we share with several lodges who also meet there at
9225 Ferguson Rd.
Dallas, TX 75228
We meet here fairly often on Tuesdays, but our stated meeting is every 2nd Tuesday, so if you are a traveling brother, or interested in joining – this would be an ideal time to drop by and meet the fellas. Meal is at 6:30pm but we meet shortly after 7pm so feel free to be a bit early, if you would like some time to talk a while, or would like to obtain more information about our great fraternity.
